Key Responsibilities:

Working with the wider marketing team, help to develop and execute the annual content and marketing plans across digital channels, including (but not exclusive to) social media, website and e-marketing campaigns.

Email Marketing

  • Produce and distribute customer emails on an on-going basis to support business needs, campaigns and sales as required
  • Drive optimisations to meet performance goals for delivery, open rate, click thru rate and email revenue
  • Create email content including copywriting, image selection, layout and proofing
  • Data selection based on targeting specific customer groups and schedule emails
  • Manage third party review sites and customer communication (Feefo / Trustpilot)

Social Media

  • Run Mark Warner’s social media channels including Instagram and Facebook (and others, as appropriate) by creating organic content, sharing content and responding to posts and direct messages
  • Work closely with all stakeholders in the Mark Warner business to drive a social presence that harnesses and captures the spirit of what we do, as well as builds an engaged community
  • Centralise the Resort accounts and harness content from the overseas teams to enrich the brand messaging and footprint
  • Report on social media performance against KPIs
  • Support Recruitment social media channels where necessary

Website

  • Support the Ecommerce Manager with BAU updates on the website and raising tickets for issues, identified by the business
    Create, upload and optimise page content in line with business and brand requirements
  • Write, review and edit online content to ensure it aligns with brand tone of voice, SEO best practice and key commercial priorities
  • Support the Ecommerce Manager in the implementation of on-page and technical SEO recommendations
  • Support with web development when required and help with QA testing prior to go-live 

Other activity

  • Be a brand guardian – collectively with the marketing team, make sure that branding is consistent across all communication and media, ensure consistent messaging, tone of voice and visual representation in both the UK and overseas
  • Support the wider marketing team where required with ad-hoc activity such as PR requests, creative campaign ideas, image editing/artwork amends, photo/video shoots
  • Deliver content requirements and digital assets for Travel Agent partners
  • Manage the digital asset library (photos & videos)

Abilities and Skills

  • Experience in a similar role, travel industry knowledge an advantage but not essential.
  • A passion for digital marketing and a keen eye for content creation.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills, with impeccable spelling and grammar.
  • Experience of working across multiple social platforms and understanding of their effectiveness for brands and businesses.
  • Solid understanding of social media community management and moderation.
  • Experienced in email marketing.
  • Hands-on experience of updating websites using a CMS (desirable but not essential).
  • SEO knowledge preferable.
  • Experience with performance tools such as Facebook Analytics and Google Analytics.
  • Flexible, hardworking, and able to meet deadlines under pressure and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competence in basic data analysis and reporting.
